For those that want a better idea of what they’re getting into, we’re here to break it down. There are several differences between trade school and college. While traditional schooling comes with its own set of benefits, it’s not always the experience that every student is interested in.
Colleges usually have large class sizes, long lectures, and plenty of distractions. For example, if you’re strictly looking to pursue a topic like math, you’ll also be required to take classes that are less relevant to your goals like English or languages. Centriq’s program is highly focused because, at the end of the day, our goal is to help you land a job in the IT industry. In addition, our cohorts are manageable sizes that allow you to get hands- on, engaging experience with tech that you can take into your next role. Unlike colleges and universities, we have much more freedom with our curriculum which means we’re able to adapt on the go. You’ll find that tech advancements on your radar are already making their way into our courses, so you’ll be up to date on the latest skills and knowledge.
Centriq’s IT training program focuses on in-demand areas of the IT world such as coding or cybersecurity and cloud computing. These are hands-on programs taught by experienced, certified IT professionals designed to teach you the skills you need to start a role in as little as four months.
We function completely differently from your traditional college course. How? For one, we focus solely on tech. Unlike traditional education routes, we do not require students to sit through hours of unrelated lectures and dedicate our time to what’s important to you. Secondly, we incorporate a variety of learning tactics so you’re not snoozing through a long lecture. Instead, we utilize a combination of simulations, exercises, and other real-world experiences to help you learn quickly and effectively. Finally, unlike traditional colleges and universities that have an extensive process for implementing new curriculum, Centriq is on top of teaching what’s relevant. Our coursework isn’t set in stone and we’re quick to pivot content so that it addresses advancements in tech. You’ll graduate with the skillset needed to tackle responsibilities immediately.

In 2023, 258 students enrolled in the 12 week Cloud and Security Specialist Program. 227 students (88%) completed the program, 20 students (8%) withdrew, and 11 students (4%) went on leave.
In 2023, 4 students enrolled in the 8 week IT Support Boot Camp. 3 students (75%) completed the program and 1 student (25%) went on leave.
In 2023, 45 students enrolled in the 14 week Full Stack Coding Program. 34 students (76%) completed the program, 6 students (13%) withdrew, and 5 students (11%) went on leave.
